Becky Watts juror describes impact the horrific case had on her

A woman who tried the killers of Becky Watts - Nathan Matthews and Shauna Hoare - has said the government must do more to support jurors.

Rebecca, who is an NHS executive, was exposed to horrific images and testimony during the case in 2015.

But she said the Ministry of Justice offered her just a leaflet by the Samaritans as way of support.

Rebecca says she lost three quarters of a stone and needed counselling after the five-week trial.

In Scotland, jurors are offered support, but the Ministry of Defence admitted there was no similar scheme in place in England and Wales.

Becky Watts was a 16-year-old schoolgirl who vanished from Bristol in 2015. She was found dismembered in a shed. In November 2015 her step-brother Nathan Matthews was convicted of her murder. His partner, Shauna Hoare, was found guilty of manslaughter.
